Learning to love Saving!!!

from Iconic 1968 · host Marketing Drive 360

I have found that practicing extreme discipline is the only way to accomplish my financial goals. The way I stay disciplined is by establishing sustainable habits such as calculating my spending. Calculating my daily spending is essential when managing my everyday expenditures. For instance, I keep a daily financial discipline journal that keeps me on track. I started this journal when I worked for the Homewood Suites in 2015 as chief engineer for three different properties. This position required me to keep track of everyday expenses, and the task became very tedious considering I was also tasked with managing five other maintenance men, plus hiring the housekeeping staff. Once I started my journey of tracking everyday expenses, the tedious task became my hidden key to successfully excelling at my job. I can confidently say that, during my six years of working for Homewood Suites, none of my projects were over budget. Which allowed me to grow in the company. This experience has led me to use extreme discipline in my personal life. Extreme discipline works for me because it keeps me on track to enjoy fun activities; at the same time, I am staying out of debt and fulfilling my financial objectives. Isaiah Tilson 360
