Learning To Parent With Patience And Understanding

Frustration and reaching the end of your patience when raising three toddlers is inevitable, but my wife Ana and I have learned that raising your voice may be a way of regaining temporary control but it doesn't solve the problem, it only makes it worse.  Since becoming foster parents three years ago we have poured ourselves into learning about a child's developing brain, dealing with traumatized kids, and we have been on a continuous path of self-evaluation and growth.  We still get frustrated and run out of patience but we have learned to deal with it in a much more productive way and our kids are flourishing and growing and becoming much better at everything because of it.  If you are a parent we hope that us sharing our experience will be helpful.  We acknowledge that we don't have all the answers and it may turn out that none of this podcast benefits you but we hope it helps someone.
