Leasing Your Next iPhone Is About to Get Way Cheaper
from Phonegram News
What if you could rent the latest Mac or iPhone like a lease on a brand new car? Apple is launching a brand-new leasing program with Klarna called Apple Upgrade by the end of July. Instead of buying your gear outright, you pay a low monthly fee to rent it for two to three years. When your contract is up, you simply swap it for the newest model or pay the rest to keep it. iPhones and Apple Watches get two-year contracts, while Macs and iPads run for three years. But there is a catch. Budget models like the base iPad are completely excluded, and AppleCare is not included in the price. Apple wants to drop your monthly payments, but traditional direct installments might disappear completely. So, are you renting your next Apple device or buying it forever?
