Leaving Comfort for God’s Call | The Well Podcast S7E06

Jadon Moore joins Pastor Phil Hopper and Les Norman to share his story about stepping out in faith when it’s risky, costly, and scary. They talk about bold faith and standing on God’s Word, even when it’s not popular. Together, they discuss the difference between recklessness and obedience, drawing insight from the example of the Israelites crossing the Jordan in Joshua 3. You’ll hear Jadon’s testimony—from preaching an uncompromising gospel and facing backlash, to choosing God over people pleasing while navigating early ministry challenges, family pressure, and stepping into the unknown. This conversation is packed with stories of faith in action, wisdom on discerning whether a risk is from God, and encouragement for anyone wrestling with tough decisions. You will be pointed to the power of obedience as you step out in faith and obedience. 📌 Episode Mentions: Scripture mentions: Joshua 3 Abundant Life Residency: https://abundant-life.com/who-we-are/residency/ 📌Supplemental Resources: This Week’s Sermon: https://www.youtube.com/live/PF7rcWy5Hr4?si=sPvfS09B6hTTgeJV&t=1351 Exodus: From Bondage to Abundance Sermon Series: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLR50sV854C2jJ7VKI1R8An6tTJdSlYQyF&si=kyhzsrz7riJbb3xG 🎙️ What We Discuss: 00:00 – The Difference Between Faith and Risk 04:57 – Jadon Moore's Bold Journey 11:46 – Standing Firm on Scripture 19:0 – Faith Through Uncertainty 21:04 – Answering God's Call to Ministry 24:27 – Act with Faith, Not Certainty 30:50 – Journey Over Destiny 34:05 – Growth Through Residency and Ministry 40:37 – The Living Word and The Spirit's Power 44:52 – Reaching Rural Communities With The Gospel 47:38 – Gratitude, Faith, and Obedience Connect with us on Social Media ↴ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/abundantlifels/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/abundantlifels Connect with Pastor Phil ↴ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PhilHopperKC Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/philhopper_kc Books & Resources: abundant-life.com/resources Learn more about the A-Life Discipleship Journey: https://alife.livingproof.co/ More information on our sermons: https://abundant-life.com/resources/sermons/ Do you want to see your life changed by Jesus?
