Led by the Spirit
from RLCC Daily Devotions Hosted by Various
Devotional 3: Led by the SpiritScripture: Romans 8:14 - "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." Explanation: This passage highlights the intimate relationship between believers and God, emphasizing that those who follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit are truly God's children. In the broader context of verses 12-17, Paul contrasts living according to the flesh with living according to the Spirit. He explains that believers are no longer obligated to live under the power of sin or fear, but as children adopted into God's family through the Spirit. This adoption brings assurance of being heirs with Christ, sharing in both suffering and future glory. Thus, being led by the Spirit signifies a transformed life marked by God's ownership, guidance, and the promise of eternal inheritance. Application: Let this truth shape how you see yourself today. You are not an outsider trying to earn God’s approval; you are His beloved child. Let this identity free you to love others deeply and live boldly. Reflection Questions: 1. Do you live more out of fear or out of the freedom of being God’s child? 2. How does knowing you can call God “Abba” change the way you approach Him? This podcast aims to strengthen your faith in the Lord Jesus by giving you additional insights from God's word based on each week's Sunday sermon. Join us and let's experience real life in Christ together with others.
