Lee Kang-in Thrills in Debut, MLB Bats Surge, Yamashita Sets Record

The Los Angeles Dodgers swept their recent series behind standout performances from Tommy Edman and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Meanwhile, the Dodgers rolled through back-to-back sweeps over the Rockies and Pirates, powered by a dramatic walk-off hit by Tommy Edman and a brilliant quality start from Yoshinobu Yamamoto.  Though Shohei Ohtani contributed three home runs versus the Rockies in their series, he only acquired one hit against the Pirates.  That quiet stretch compared unfavorably to a massive offensive surge from the Cubs’ Pete Crow-Armstrong, which has pushed Ohtani back to second place in the NL MVP race. Asian LPGA dominance continued with Miyu Yamashita capturing her fourth title in impressive fashion at the CPKC Women's Open in Edmonton.  Yamashita tied the LPGA scoring record, shooting 257 on the 72-hole course, and dominated the field with a nine-stroke victory.
