Lee Posey: First Responder's Pay Raise

Billy West:Welcome back everyone to another edition of Billy West Live.It's a pleasure to welcome back to the program former Mayor Lee Posey and candidate for Mayor of Natchitoches who reached out to me to address a couple of issues that are swirling in the campaign. We would certainly welcome Mayor Ronnie Williams to address these issues as well.Lee, welcome back to the program. I know you wanted to address a couple of points.Lee Posey: Thank you Billy for having me on. I appreciate it.My name is Lee Posey and I’m asking for your vote for Mayor of Natchitoches. I want to address this message directly to the members of the Natchitoches Police force and the members of the Natchitoches Fire Department. It has come to my attention that there is a concern that there may be an effort to rescind any pay raise that you may have received as a result of the utility rate increase. My pledge to you is that; should the utility rate increase be rescinded that your raises will be protected.Billy West: and Lee as you go around town and you talk to folks about issues that are important to the citizens, I know that there are things about the utility rate increases that are of real concern for the citizens of Natchitoches, and I wanted to give you an opportunity as I said for you to address that issue.Lee Posey: Very much so, Billy.I am running for Mayor and I am concerned about the burden this administration has placed on the citizens of Natchitoches due to the utility rate increases. Another rate increase is due to hit the citizens of Natchitoches in May.
