SAfm — The Department of Justice and Correctional Services says it is doing all it can to minimise the impact of cuts in the Legal Aid SA budget which provides free legal representation to the poor. The allocation will be reduced by a whopping R503m over the next three years. Legal Aid spokesperson Mfanafuthi Shabangu says they may have to shed jobs and that 5100 people may not be able to get a service from the organisation.
