Gerhardt Konig is currently on trial for the attempted murder of his wife, Arielle, during a hike on the Pali Puka trail in Honolulu, Hawaii.  Arielle has survived to testify against her husband who allegedly tried to push her off a cliff, then attempted to inject her with a foreign substance, before finally hitting her repeatedly with a lava rock. The evidence appears to be stacking up against Gerhardt, who claims self defense.
