Aan het einde van de jaren ’80 kwamen ravers vanuit heel Europa naar België om zich dagenlang te verliezen in discotheken als La Rocca, Cherry Moon, FUSE of Café d’Anvers. Maar het was discotheek Boccaccio in Destelbergen dat België op de kaart zette van het nachtleven. Peter De Cuypere heeft die periode vanop de eerse rij meegemaakt. Hij was de founding father van The Fuse in Brussel, maar ook van het I Love Techno Festival.
