We were honored to catch up with this veteran musician about his new 2024 CD "Echoes and Other Songs” that serves as a love letter to jazz, to the guitar, and to bandstand camaraderie – dedicated to the memory of my wonderful friend and musical collaborator Jim Beard. The band features a bevy of jazz’s best like Christian McBride, Chris Potter, Jim Beard, Antonio Sanchez, Dennis Chambers and many special guests like his wife Leni Stern. He has been on the scene since the 1970s dipping into multiple genres with the likes of Blood, Sweat & Tears, Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, The Brecker Brothers, David Sanborn, Béla Fleck, Yellowjackets and so many others ..
