Next up in Girls’ Night Out, Batman The Animated Series dives head first into the world of franchise crossovers when Supergirl stops by Gotham City after the show stopping (and show hopping) Livewire teams up with the deadly duo of Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. Three-on-one is never good odds, even for Supergirl, so Batgirl joins the fight as well, and the two become fast friends as they take down this terrible trio in Girls’ Night Out! Legends of the Dark Knight is a real stand-out episode, as it not only lets the animators stretch their legs stylistically but also delivers the best adaptation of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns to date! Girls’ Night Out is no slouch either, as it gives the boys a night off, and also sets up the future of the DCAU, laying the groundwork for Justice League.
