from Legends Podcast · host Legends Stream Canada

Among the nominees for Best Picture at last month's Academy Awards was director Guillermo Del Toro's follow-up to his 2017 Oscar winner The Shape of Water. Starring Bradley Cooper as a down-on-his-luck carnie with a mysterious past, this remake of the 1947 film noir also stars Cate Blanchett, Willem Dafoe, Toni Collette, Rooney Mara, and David Strathairn, with Del Toro regulars Ron Perlman and Richard Jenkins rounding out the cast. The film didn't win any Oscars, but production designer Tamara Deverell did take home the Art Directors Guild award for Period Feature Drama.
