It's emerged that a number of applicants in Leitrim are still awaiting correspondence in relation to their application for the Humanitarian Assistance Scheme. Thousands of homes, farms and businesses throughout the county were left without power for an extended period of time following Storm Éowyn. Figures published by the Department of Social Protection to 7LÁ earlier this year show there were 4,387 applications in the county. Sinn Féin Councillor Róisín Kenny says ultimately, its about providing supports for those on the ground:
