Lennon Vanderdoes From NBC's The Voice
from That Voice: A Decade With The Performers On NBC's The Voice · host Arroe Collins
Named after John Lennon, it's no surprise that Lennon developed a love for music at an early age. Growing up in a large, musical family, Lennon wasn't always confident in his singing abilities. His high-pitched voice was different, so he didn't take singing seriously until a college friend helped him find his confidence. While living in Idaho after dropping out of college, Lennon reconnected with a childhood friend, Morgan. They got married and started a new chapter of their lives together in Phoenix. After moving, Lennon worked countless odd jobs to pay the bills before landing a job at a memory care facility with dementia patients. Today, Lennon is proud to be a full-time gigging musician. He is booked through multiple companies and performs four to five times a week while also regularly singing at retirement homes. If you could share a conversation with a seed before it becomes a tree would you speak of its future fruit or would it be all things right now?
