Join Susan Downie your host as she begins to unpack how Titus was to set up a discipleship programmes within the Cretan Church. With Paul as his metaphorical Gym Spotter and Titus as the Weight lifter Susan explains further the dynamic that was advised by Paul in order to produce Gospel Truth Based Godliness. Using Gym analogies of different groupings within any gym setting today Susan is able to bring to life the need for Good programmes and godly role models working together to produce transformed lives. Observing the difficulties this would have presented for a young man in a ancient elder honouring society she makes the argument that there would have been points of fail. Areas that Paul had to step into and help and this was one of them Teaching older men to be Godly examples for the younger men of which Titus was one would have had to have the backing of his spotter Paul another older man in her view.
