Leroy Blyden Jr. Could Be Kansas’ New Spark | Big 12 Basketball News

Kansas basketball just got a major boost with the transfer of Leroy Blyden Jr., a dynamic guard from Toledo who dominated as a freshman—earning MAC Freshman of the Year and third-team All-MAC honors. Hitting over 40% of his threes, he’s exactly the shooter KU needs to stretch defenses. Expected to start alongside Taylen Kinney, Blyden brings elite ball-handling, scoring ability, and an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio. Coach Self called him one of the best guard prospects in the portal. While Tyran Stokes gets headlines, Blyden’s proven playmaking and clutch shooting could be the secret weapon that elevates KU’s offense—and maybe even makes him a conference star for years to come.
