Guillaume Blanc est professeur des universités en Histoire contemporaine à Sciences Po Bordeaux / LAM.Formé à la Chaire du Canada en histoire environnementale, il travaille aujourd’hui sur le gouvernement global de la nature et des hommes en Éthiopie et dans l’Afrique de l’Est contemporaine, à l’époque coloniale et postcoloniale.Empires. Aujourd'hui encore, de l'Asie du Sud-Est à l'Afrique de l'Ouest, les paysages portent la trace indélébile des luttes sociales qui s'y sont déroulées, pendant la colonisation, pour l'accès, le contrôle et le gouvernement de la nature. Qu'est-ce que les empires et le colonial font aux environnements qu'ils rencontrent, conquièrent puis gouvernent ?
