Lesotho is yet to implement the recommendations of the commission that probed the causes of instability it experienced in 2014. This was revealed by the SADC secretariat following the Double Troika's two-day Extraordinary summit in Gaborone, Botswana. The commission was instituted following the failed coup and the killing of Lesotho army general Maaparankoe Mahao. Opposition party leaders, who feared for their lives, also fled the country. Now, Lesotho has until this August to provide the SADC Double Troika with details of the progress it has made to implement the recommendations of the Phumaphi commission.
