Less Anxiety, More Trust

from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scott

Less Anxiety, More Trust "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." — 1 Peter 5:7 Anxiety can creep into our hearts when we feel uncertain about the future. We worry about finances, health, relationships, and the unknown. But God never intended for us to carry these burdens alone. He invites us to cast our worries on Him, trusting that He cares deeply for us. Trusting God doesn't mean we ignore our struggles; it means we place them in His capable hands. It's a daily surrender—choosing faith over fear, prayer over panic, and peace over worry. When we focus on His promises, we remind ourselves that He is in control. Jesus said, "Do not worry about tomorrow" (Matthew 6:34), not because tomorrow won't have challenges, but because God is already there. His love surrounds us, His grace sustains us, and His wisdom guides us. Whenever anxiety rises, pause and pray. Breathe in God's peace and breathe out your fears. Speak His promises over your life: "God is my refuge and strength" (Psalm 46:1). Rest in the truth that He is faithful, and His plans for you are good. Today, let go of what you cannot control. Choose to trust the One who holds the universe—and your heart—in His hands. Prayer: Lord, I surrender my anxieties to You. Help me trust You fully and rest in Your peace. Amen.
