Lesson 4: Romans Chapter 1 Verses 21-27

Romans Chapter 1 - Gods wrath against sinful humanity 21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Prayer: Lord Jesus we thankyou for your word which is truth. Help us to apply your truth to our lives today. Don't allow us to look at someone else and say how wrong they are, but reveal in us anything that is getting in the way of putting you first in our lives. You alone are worthy of all praise and honor. You gave us your word not to condemn us but to protect us and show us the best wayto go, which is to follow you , Jesus. Help us to do that Lord. if there is anyone listening today struggling with sinful desires, let them call out to you Jesus. We don't look to the world to tell us that everything we do is OK, we know that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God . We look to you Lord Jesus, our identity is in you alone. This we pray in Jesus name, Amen
