FOCUS: Gideon is drafted by God to provide leadership for the Israelites but it is made clear that success does not depend upon Gideon’s strength but in faith in God and willingness to go and do what He calls him to do FUNCTION: We will be challenged to stop making excuses about not fulfilling what God wants because success is not up to us and God is not limited by our weakness—only by our lack of faith and obedience!
