lessons I didn't expect from getting a root canal on my front tooth - tangible tips from feeling scared, shameful, & alone

I knew I needed to make this an episode when I didn't want to talk about it lol... I felt honestly scared, anxious, and shameful during the experience. And that's when I realized, if this is how I feel as a LITERAL DENTIST that recommends this to patients every day, I need to share how I'm feeling so that if you're going through this too, you realize you're not alone. Even if it's not a root canal, whatever it is that you're feeling alone and upset by, just know this can be a powerful part of your journey. I share some surprising things I wasn't expecting to learn and feel, and ultimately what I took away from this experience about the decisions we ask patients to make, the experience of being in pain, and having to emotionally overcome hurdles we associate with treatment.
