And me, Samantha Hearn, I cannot wait to welcome you, support you, and power and inspire you and share with you the stories that sometimes don't get shared online and give you this real refreshing approach on how building a business sometimes can be hard, sometimes involves failing, sometimes involves struggle, but you can still succeed anyway.

And welcome to the Bea Bold in Business podcast, and I cannot wait for you to take your invitation to be bold in your business too. Hello. Today I wanted to do an episode for you all around what I've learned from 2024. And the reason for this is I don't normally do podcast episodes like this, I normally have podcast episodes that are either interviews, mini-master classes, or me giving trainings and lots of other things, but what I think is so important when we come to an end of the year and we look at business and what we've achieved is I really want to give you my behind the scenes lessons from this year and some things that I believe have truly made so much difference from my business, my mindset, my energy, my relationships this year.

And for those of you that listen to this podcast, you will know that this has been around for a really long time. And in terms of my time in business, it has been seven years of doing this and being in the online space. And I just thought it was time that I shared with you more of my insights and more of my honest experiences. And I just wanted to make that more of a conversation.

So I have actually written down seven big lessons from this year. And I hope if nothing else, this just gives you some focus and maybe even some promises to make to yourself for 2025. I just I really that's my wish for you. So let's dive in.

My first lesson from 2024 is that the caliber of your clients matters more than anything. This year, more than ever before, I have I've got a toddler now. So that has been a journey. But of course, you know, since starting childcare, her illnesses not being well, having to shuffle things has has increased.

And of course, that's hard as, you know, a business woman, but also being a mom. And I would tell you that the thing that made that easier is the caliber of my clients and the fact that they all get it. And a huge thing for me is I always think if I if my coach said they needed to reschedule what would I do? If my coach said that there's their child was sick or they had no point about any of the schedule, what would I do?

And all of my clients respond and have responded in the way that I would with understanding and compassion. Nothing in business, nothing in your business, your clients business is more of a priority than yours and your loved ones health, nothing. So even if there's not just going on, if there's things happening, nothing is more of an emergency and isn't figure outable as much as you and your loved ones health, nothing. And this year has reminded me that I only want to be surrounded by women who love and respect me as a person before a coach and want to be part of my journey to succeed as a mom in business, as well as supporting them and succeeding in theirs.

So my first lesson is a huge shout out to the women in my world, the amazing women I spend more time with than my best friends and my family for becoming my friends, for making love, for supporting me, for understanding, for being compassionate and just for being all around legends, I cannot say enough how an ideal client is not down to an age and what they watch on Netflix. An ideal client is down to a line values, morals, ethics, energy, personality. And my clients literally are the most amazing people on this planet. And that's my first big lesson for 2024, how much I love them and how much I'm so grateful that the women I spend time with don't make me feel guilty for the fact that I also have to be a mum, for the fact that I also have to be a woman and for the fact that I also have a life to navigate, just like all of you.

And that is so, so important. My second lesson is shiny objects will not pay off. So many people on the internet are chasing what someone else is doing and wanting to implement what someone else is doing or race to achieve what someone else has done. That is never going to pay off for you in the long run.

That's never going to be your journey to success. Shiny objects are great, but they are a distraction. Shiny objects distract you from who and what you truly need to be doing. Shiny objects prevent you from staying focused on what you want to be doing.

Shiny objects deter you, make you procrastinate. Also, a lot of times shiny objects make you feel really crap about where you're at because you're thinking about what other people are doing. You're thinking about what what you should be doing, could be doing, aren't doing, but someone else is. For me, I think what's really important is that you take the time to actually think about where you are at and what is important for you, where do you want to go, what does matter for you and saying the course on that, saying the course on that and knowing that shiny objects are great if they allow you to move forward in the way that you want, but actually if shiny objects distract you from what you want to be doing and how you want to be doing it, they are not going to be the thing that builds you up.

They're not going to be the thing that helps you move yourself forward. And actually they're just going to distract you. And that's not what we need. That's not what we need.

My third one, being brave is your only metric. Being brave is your only metric to brave progress, success, character, being brave. And this isn't just in business, this isn't your life, it's in your boundaries, it's in your decisions, it's in your relationships. Being brave matters.

Being brave allows you to show yourself that you can be proud of you. Being brave allows you to show yourself your tenacity, your creativity. Being brave allows you to break the mold of expectation and start to reach your potential. Being brave allows you to reach your potential.

Being brave allows you to do things beyond what you thought was capable. So for me being brave has been a huge metric of 2024. I have done huge things. I've launched my own clothing and merchandise and products brand.

I've trademarked three new programs. I've launched a brand new mindset focused energy focused membership. I've been on the front cover of magazines. I've headlined and spoke at events.

I've traveled the UK going and doing speaking activities. I've gone to networking events. I just I have been brave this year that I have maybe in the last three, definitely since having my daughter. And it has paid off.

It has paid off. And when I look at the year, and this is actually my next lesson, when I looked at 2024, I had a lesson that I wanted to go to something in person once a month. I wanted to try and make that work to go to something once a month in person, to be around other business owners, to be in the room and to get myself back out there. I had to make that happen.

But also, there was no rush or quick fix for that in January. I knew I'd still have to do it for the rest of the year. And I did it. You know what?

I stopped to it. And that's really important. I stopped to it. I went to at least one in person event for the whole of 2024.

And it's made a massive difference. It's landed me three huge speaking opportunities for 2025. It's landed me guest expert podcast interviews. It's landed me joining an incredible, incredible high level, closed mental circle in a circle that we meet once a quarter is landed me new friendships.

And I think that that is so important. It is so important for you to recognize that you need to be brave. And for me, that was being brave. I put myself out there.

I had to stick to it. I had to stick to it. It wasn't going to happen after one month. I had to allow that to accumulate.

So being brave is your only metric. But also make a pledge and stick to it. Please stick to it. You have to see and stay the course.

And patience is a huge part of that. There are five. Creativity is your superpower. As an entrepreneur, it's so important that you allow yourself to be creative.

When I look in my downstairs right now, I've got 1,000 candles and car boxes in our hallway. And it reminds me a bit like Delboy. But this is a huge part of being creative. It's about exploring different avenues and outlets for yourself, for who you are and who you want to be and exploring your full expression of yourself and what that means.

So creativity is your biggest superpower. Being creative allows you to explore parts of yourself as an entrepreneur that you wouldn't if you had employment. It allows you to explore different ways of working, different ways of shoving up, different ways of being seen. I now have affiliate links and brand ambassadors and I have my own shop.

That's why all to me. I have my own Amazon page because I now have my own journals. And it's just so important for you to give yourself the opportunity to be creative and to think about all the ways you can impact people outside of just your stereotypical business. And for me, another part of this lesson is this wasn't a shiny object.

This was I wanted to build my brand bigger than my coaching and mentoring. And I wanted to create a movement. So I wanted to build out something I truly stand for. So I built out the Bulletproof Women products and the Bulletproof experience.

That was a huge part of my 2024. I wanted to raise the game. That was my word for 2024, raise the game. So my wife would next to me.

I wanted to raise the game. I wanted to play bigger and I wanted to build out a brand that's beyond me. And I've done that. And I am so proud of it.

But that involved being brave, but it also involved being creative. And your creativity is your biggest asset, whether it's thinking about launching a podcast, looking at YouTube, wherever it's wherever you believe that you want to stand out more, this is what matters. This is what matters when it comes to creativity because that's what will create your unique flair on what you're doing. That's where it will create your unique flair on what you're doing.

So give yourself the opportunity to be creative. My next one is prioritise your future. People don't prioritise their future enough. People don't prioritise where they want their life to go.

They focus on month in, month out, month in, month out, sales, what they're launching every single month. And actually you get to the end of every month and you don't necessarily feel like you're building a puzzle. You feel like it's almost just every single month is starting again. It's like ground zero.

So prioritising my future was a huge part of 2024. And what did I mean by that? Prioritising my future was setting up this new brand, prioritising my future was accepting and investing in speaking opportunities for 2025 in 2024, like September, August, September 2024. I want to prioritise my future as much as I want to create my present.

I want to make sure I'm looking. Now I'm recording this episode for you on the 17th of December, 2024. And I already have speaking engagements. I have five speaking engagements confirmed for 2025.

I have my own events. I have staff. But Brandon Bassett is coming to work those events to sell my products merchandise. All of that's done for 2025.

I have my whole coaching schedule set up for 2025. I have my recurring revenue. I have my financial forecast. I know my baseline for 2025.

I want to work for my future as much as I want to work for my present. And that has always been a passion of mine. And it's something that I pride myself on, my ability to plan ahead as well as execute in the present. And that's a huge lesson for me, prioritising your future.

And I would say if you do need to look at how you're prioritising, looking at your creativity, looking at your goals and how you want to be, please just go to the show notes and buy one of the journals because I've got three available, my success era, my abundance era, and my growth era. And I deliberately created these three for a reason. And actually, I'm going to read them. I'm going to read them to you.

I did this for a reason because these are the three eras that I would say every single women business goes through, abundance, growth and success. They matter to me. And if you are looking at abundance, this notebook is perfect for anyone seeking to enter an abundance era, a phase of growth, courage, and unwavering belief in her potential. If you're in your growth era, this notebook is ideal for anyone looking to enter their growth era, a time of learning, self-discovery and bold steps towards becoming the best version of yourself and the success era.

This notebook is perfect for anyone ready to step into this success era, a season of achievement, confidence and unshakable trust in your ability. I just want you to know that this is possible for you. So yeah, go to the show notes and buy yourself a journal, if nothing else. But that is important, prioritizing your future.

And that only happens when you write it down. You state it, you claim it, you pledge it. You have to do that for your future. My next lesson, my final lesson, you have to create the opportunities.

So many people say, I can't, I don't have this. Someone doesn't have that. Someone said, no, this person doesn't want me. I didn't get through.

It's not the right time. Create the opportunities for yourself. I cannot, cannot, cannot advocate that enough for you. Create your own opportunities.

If you want to speak at events, create your own intimate event and start that off. If you want to speak at more podcasts, create your own, create your own podcast and then invite people onto your podcast. If you want to have more people and more leads coming into you, create a way of doing that, create a plan, create a way that you can be promoting, create a way that you can have new funnels, create your own opportunities. If you want to speak more, start speaking, start doing more interviews, start being a more panel, start going to more events, start doing the things that you're waiting for someone else to say that you can do.

Start creating those opportunities. So they are just some of my lessons of 2024. They're probably my most important lessons. And one more lesson is I have learned more than ever that life, life is some unpredictable and life can be so difficult and so challenging and so curbball-y and just absolutely not give a six.

But that doesn't mean that your success cannot continue to happen. And I've been reminded of that more so this year than ever. Even through so many twists and turns for myself, my business has been able to support me. My business has been able to continue and to thrive and to make sales in amongst the chaos that sometimes life throws us.

And this is why I wanted to create a brand outside of myself which was a huge lesson of raising the game in 2024, the Bulletproof Women Experience, the Bulletproof Women Products. I wanted to create an opportunity where more women didn't keep sacrificing their future and sacrificing their dreams and their goals and actually allowed it to become something that can support them through life rather than an extra or a burden. And I want that for you as well. So even though life can sometimes throw curbbles, my success has always been able to sustain.

My growth has sustained. My business has supported me and that matters. I want that for you. So I hope these lessons have been helpful for you and give you some food for thought.

And I really, really hope they give you some next steps and some food for yourself in next year and where you want to go in 2025. And I also really hope that you do get yourself a journal because I would love nothing more than to be able to support you on a daily basis in the pages of your creativity, in the notes of your mind, in the commitments of your words and be part of that. I would absolutely love nothing more than that. And if you know you want to be supported from a mindset and energy priorities, boundaries and as an individual, as a woman in business, please, please come and join us in the Bulletproof Experience because it's going to be a year like no other.

It's going to be a year like no other. We're going to spend 2025 working on your mindset, your belief systems, your identity, your success beliefs, your habits, your boundaries, just it's going to give you as the individual everything you need to allow success to follow and allow success to become the norm. So my lessons from 2024, I can't wait to see one more episode of the podcast and I absolutely cannot wait to support you with your inevitable success.
