Let Go of the Rope: Embracing Spiritual Growth, Meditation with Teri Angel, Dr. Ruth Anderson

In today's Meditation Excavation, we were shown us in spirit, observing a bustling stream. Our vantage point was from the top of a cliff surrounded by the stars at night. As we observed the stream below, which our guides called the Stream of Life, we observed us and others maneuvering our way up the stream in small boats. One friend was dragging her home and all of her belongings behind her. She was weighed down by her possessions, and wondered why she was not able to sense Spirit. She was told to let go of the rope and bring Spirit first and foremost into her day, rather than her possessions. We saw large protruding rocks in the water, representing difficulties in life, and wondered how to address them. We heard that we had choices: 1) go around the rocks 2) stay stuck behind the rocks or 3) climb, the rock, put a flag on it, and, conquer it, calling it yours. We saw that in the stream of life sometimes the water in front of a person looked calm and we would assume they had no issues. Then we saw that underneath there was a whirlpool trying to pull them down. We realized that we never really know what someone else is going through. Is there something that you are dragging behind you and putting before your spiritual growth? Let go of the rope. See what happens.
