Let Go of What Was Never in Your Realm of Control | Leveraging the Power Inherent In Your Reactions

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

Let Go of What Was Never in Your Realm of Control | Leveraging the Power Inherent In Your Reactions Extreme situations will teach you that not a lot is within your control. Often times we nourish this sense of control, and reinforce the belief that we're in control, because much of life tends to go as planned. What if I told you the best thing you can do is to liberate yourself from that belief? You increase your ability to be flexible and to adapt to any shift and change in circumstance, when you realize that the only area where self-mastery is required in this life is your reaction. We have control of how we respond and how we react to the challenges that we face in this life. The moment we spend less time focusing on external factors, and more time focusing on how we cultivate that inner governance - we increase our own odds of survival, and we change the game. I believe that this is the single most important factor that enabled me to survive four years of being stalked, terrorized and intimidated across Canada, and throughout several countries across the ocean, too.
