Let My People Go (Exodus 4:22 - 5:2) - Session 9

from Reasoning Through the Bible · host What Does the Bible Say?

Moses begins his trip to Egypt to give Pharaoh God’s message to “Let My People Go”.  However, there is a key ritual Moses has neglected to perform which must be set right before he can continue. Moses’ brother Aaron meets him along the way and they both go before the elders of Israel.  We see the leadership of Israel acknowledge that God is ready to free them, they bow down and worship God.  When the message is given to Pharaoh, he insults God and as God predicted, refuses to let them leave. This sets in motion all the plagues which will come upon Egypt in order to compel Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave.   What is the purpose of God giving Moses the ability to perform miracles? Why is God stopping Moses from continuing to Egypt? Is it important for us to get things right with God before we embark on doing God’s work? How serious should we take our sin?  Can sin hinder us from correctly serving God?Support the showThank you for listening!!  Please give us a five-star rating to help your podcast provider's algorithm spread RTTB among their listeners. You can find free study and leader resources at the following link - Resource Page - Reasoning Through the BiblePlease prayerfully consider supporting RTTB to help us to continue providing content and free resources.
