Marissa is running for MAYOR of Lone Tree, Colorado and is kicking off her journey into the crazy world of politics! She is a mom of 2 girls and is passionate about leaning into her community. As a mom of one, her biggest challenge with having her second child was the unknown of how to handle things when your baby isn't meeting the same milestones as your first. Where do you turn? Who do you tell? As the mom, we are supposed to "know" and it wasn't until someone in her hairstyle chair said to her, "Developmental Pathways is amazing" that she finally allowed herself to be open to the possibility that they needed help. After her daughter was given the support she needed, she has thrived. It hasn't come without many heartaches but it has gotten MUCH better and Marissa has learned to open herself up to what is out there that can help you along the way. She wants other mamas to know that it's ok not to know, it's ok to ask for help and you need to find your village.
