What's up y'all it has been months I would say years just to be on the safe side but welcome to as we walk podcast I am and always will be cammy also known as cam underscore the underscore thinker on instagram but I also do have our as you walk podcast on instagram so please be sure to go there a lot has been going on for me a lot has been trying to go on for me if you know what I mean and we're coming down to the ending of this year holy cow it is December de-sem-berg guys like seriously we are in a whole new month well it's been months as I talked to you guys but it is monday december 3rd and I will be a year older on saturday which is december 8th and you know what I have been thinking and you know as we get older I have actually read a few interesting comments just my usual social media scroll and I have seen a lot of people talk about timelines and I know I've spoken about this before but just to reiterate a timeline for you and a timeline for me doesn't mean that we're going to meet I have also seen that when we decide to try to stick to our own timeline it doesn't always work out in our favor and neither will it work out in our favor I have seen those who want to get married a certain age or want to have kids at a certain age or just want to do certain just certain milestones they want to hit at a specific age and it never really works out the way that they would like it to so as I look at the end of the year I am looking forward if I can say it that way looking forward to actually close off this year on a positive note as we all know every day is not will not and will never be the same and unfortunately that means that some days are hell annoying or a really sad day just a day that it feels like nothing can get worse or as soon as you say that it does we've all been there we all go through it most of all and I look at the end of the year and I hope that each and every one of you who are listening thank you guys so much I have not been here that often and to be able to see that I actually have plays feels pretty good I'm hoping excuse me that for the near future I can be a bit more regular even if it's not for a whole hour even if it's for 20 minutes 30 minutes of your day or mine that I'm able to take time out because I feel that new material is on its way I feel that the new year comes new material new things to talk about new issues and we still have the same person as president and the way things are looking I mean I mean we still have a long a while before before anything else can take place so yes we will still have things going on there will still be social issues and there still will always be let's see one of the current events that has occurred since my last recording we have the death of president bush not son but father and it seems that the country and all that dwells within it are very divided over his death being that yes he died and it is a very saddening time for anyone when someone passes but also his accomplishments and not so great accomplishments it has everyone kind of in a tizzy everyone is bringing about the good things he did oh he signed the you know the the clean air act for the environment he single you know from what I've seen he has on a school CNN well not Fox News I don't listen to them I'm sorry um good old CNN you know about how he single handedly you know he did his thing and in terms of war and he seemed to be very humble person and reading opinion pieces on how he is so much different than our current president and you know what I'm going to be honest when I look at all these presidents I look at all these guys and women that come into all forms of office none are better than any if you look and I'm trying my best to tie this in with timelines for us to understand if you look at the timeline of when I would say I was wearing a I group in the 90s that was a time where anything I mean everything and anything was just a wonderful time Bill Clinton was our president that was my guy I was young and I was like listen that's my guy I had no issues back then we were cool back then economy wise it was great as soon as he left office due to our you know our mostly known circumstance that everyone knows everything went downhill from there we had 9-11 we had the war in Afghanistan you know we're in Iraq we have war with Syria I mean the amount of wars that are happening now it's it's just flabbergasting it's amazing but it goes back to say to look at how much time has changed how much things have occurred within just such a span we have to remember unfortunately we are human and the people that helped run this country this nation all other nations are human what you and I might see is common sense they see it as trivial meaning not everybody's elevator goes to the top floor as my mom would say or as my better thing my mom would say is common sense the floor that does not grow in everyone's garden got to understand it you have people who live lives completely different to you and I we do not have I'd say most of us we didn't have the same channels of how they were able to go to school or they were able to buy their first home these are things that I would say baby boomers love to talk about buying their first home having their first vehicle when milk was like 25 cents let's be honest here milk like milk now is ridiculous like when you compare it to back then it really just makes you do a double take so when they complain and they say oh you guys you know uh you guys you know you have it so easy because you guys can work and go to school it's like um it's not that simple Fred okay it's not that simple Alice back in your time you were able to afford school because school was never in the thousands back then it probably wasn't even in the hundreds so you're complaining and there was also a time from what I remember and what I was told especially in New York when college was free you have to worry about money to go you just went now you have to now scrounge around pennies to take at least a class because I'll tell you straight up oh it's 210 per class per semester good luck so again when you look at how times have changed it is so much more important and so much more imperative for us mentally to just be able to chill it is hard to do it though and that's a problem I would say I know I have especially growing up you know you hear about people getting their first apartment getting their first car getting their first house all these firsts and I have not gotten anyone of those yet and I'm gonna be honest can't afford to literally I have been asked before oh anything about having a kid uh the age of financially capable the point where you can actually spend something and not have that small let's see small heart murmur because you spent money on something that you know you might have needed it for that next week because you're not getting paid for a little bit that's the kind of money I'm supposed to be able to say I'm going to go to the store and shop and when I leave and look at my account there's still something there enough to buy lunch for like more than a day that's not something everyone can really say honestly if you think about it so let me look at time and timelines I would say that it also can make you quite anxious as I said in my last episode also which ties in social media does not help but part of mental sanity I would say is remembering social media is it's basically everyone's newspaper it's like you know you call it a newsfeed but I see this in newspaper meaning if I want to read what of my friends is doing today or look at old photos or look at anything they're doing I go to their page and I see everything everything is about them anything that they want to post meaning I can say I married with like two kids and I have a bomb house in the pokanos that's when you know get those nice stock photos Google Maps is popping in and get a nice Google photo I mean you put it all together man you go to work the next day and you're like oh we had no idea how's your husband how did you meet yeah I mean we met on stock photos you know stock photos man tall simple I call him Jay I guess I mean anyone and everyone could post anything that they want on social media it's just what you choose to absorb and soak up for the moment that matters because I feel like even again with timelines when you want to hit a specific timeline or you want things to be done a certain way oh yeah social media is the best place to show it off or talk about it like oh yeah so I finally got my house you know I'm living here now and I finally got my house got his good no he's good he's great he's wonderful he's awesome but as I said can still cause you to have that tinge of anxiety no one thinks about it that way but I think about that way because I've been through that I know what that feels like you sit there and you scroll through all of your friends news feeds or you go on their page individually just see what's going on because they might have posted something that's funny and you know how it shows you especially for Facebook all these associated videos or you know anything so you check it out and you're like oh man they seem like the things are going great man they're moving and they're doing this and they're doing that and and then you get anxious because you wonder about yourself you're like am I doing everything that I could possibly do is there anything else that I should be doing should I be doing something differently and I would say that's my biggest problem that was a problem that especially when I'm a younger I will why had that problem deeply at times I'd say put me I wasn't completely depressed but it made me very sad I felt just very just I just felt bad about life about things within life and how I can't seem to get it right and back then I'd talk to myself today and say hey you know today me what advice can you give and I'd be like you just need to chill the hell out and I would say that a few times over while I'm speaking because you know what it's true we're so much younger back in those days and we really look at other people's literal timelines of things that they have and we always forget that when the computer shuts down when that phone that app is closed from that phone or that phone is now off because you're going to sleep or whatever whatever you're doing you could be going to work once all of that is gone it's called real life so it doesn't matter what anyone posts up there it's once all the technology is out of the way and you get to see this person in a different light or see how they carry themselves or see how they actually are as a person that's when you realize what real life is so I look at all these things I'm like okay getting getting down to the end of the year what can I say what can I say I can truly say that to be honest we just need to chill the hell out it's really we can sit there and go oh my god but yes I'm going to be 30 or yes I'm going to be 35 or yes I'm man listen once you got you got air pumped through your lungs and if you prick your finger you bleed and when you eat you actually are satisfied and you can actually see the sun and you can see the moon you can actually go to bed or turn up once you can do all these things damn it you have another day to do it you have another week hopefully you know what I mean you still have life in you and you know what for me I would say that's something I would have told myself chill out there's nothing wrong with doing something when no one else is doing it meaning if you decide to go to school now which I'm on my way to doing thank you it's fine I can't feel anyway I am just going to be proud and happy for myself and I'm going to go to class and I'm going to do it professors and I'm going to do it with homework I'm gonna do it with all the things and be fine with it and just be content because when it's time for graduation and it's time to change careers or do something different I want to be excited about I don't want to wait or post something not to get a like to feel validated to feel that I'm doing that someone else can say all good job I used to want to post certain things up there just to see reactions and I don't even care about anymore because it doesn't even matter half the time people scroll they're not paying attention quarter of the time they kind of read what you said liked it anyway or they actually read it and actually might have something nice to say actually that doesn't happen all the time so I mean you can add it to the list but don't fool you it's probably like something else to stand by but I feel that the whole timeline era of when we should and when we shouldn't this is not like when we were kids or babies getting shots to say oh you're six months you're gonna get this shot or when you're eight years old you need to get a booster life is life and everyone's life takes everyone in totally different directions some people when you meet them years from now you're like wow I didn't realize all this happened to you that's just how life is life and itself is spontaneous and it's spontaneity spans the globe meaning I can be doing this here today now and within the next year I can end up doing radio or some type of media work who knows because this is how life is life is what it is but you know what while you're looking at life let's look at it and not drive ourselves nuts trying to go through it to figure out what our future might hold we can hope and we can dream but I feel that I've learned especially it is not healthy to kill yourself or to have yourself full of anxiety over something that you or I can't change even if it's something that has to happen just try to think positive thoughts and say you know what it happened this has to be for the better and the faster we can do that is the faster we should be able to overcome our anxieties our worries our fears so much I feel that we are still as all the characters in big mouth like I feel like we still have the shame wizard with each and every one of us every single day forget the hormone monsters those don't go away you know what I mean but I'm talking about shame wizard oh no no no he he pops up just in the cut just chilling you know you laying down probably lays next to you and say you know what you did today was just not right you know I feel that way sometimes because at times you think about crap that you did years ago you're like I was so so so so young naive just just not good I have said that plenty times this year I've looked at old things and old boy for those situations like girl could have done better but you learned from it though I mean that's the only takeaway you can have right you messed up you screwed up but the good and the best part is you learn from it hopefully that you don't get yourself into the same constraints next time if you do then wow I got ahead of you you are just wow that's all I can say but you know we all learn different ways but as we look at the ending of this year I would love to hear from you guys what you think I would love to know your thoughts on the end of the year and most of all give me some ideas damn it give me just something to kind of help me stir on the creative juices mentally give me some ideas or questions that I can answer because that was one of my main main goals of having this podcast where I can bring a situation or talk about a certain topic and you can either chime in with a comment chime in with a question or even a comment negative I mean it can be positive can be negative but just to know that I'm doing this and someone is listening or I'm doing this and someone can either appreciate what I'm saying or tell me hey maybe you shouldn't have said that or can you talk about this next time that I don't and I never mind but like this and all things I am on my way I'm just kidding I'm actually going to end this podcast for the evening it has been great talking to you guys again it has been great I say rambling not conny rambling but just rambling thanks thanks for listening I know I'm not red table talk but I'm sitting on a floor with a rug to mention that visualize it maybe I can do that you know girls sitting on a rug or something I don't know red table talk seems awesome though side note I have to actually watch the rest of season one but anyway if you guys are not watching anything one thing you should watch the handmaid's tail on Hulu I actually caught a black friday sale so I got a dollar per month for a year after that they might hear for me maybe not if not they actually have it right now limited time for 599 per month which isn't bad four bucks more and if you have read the book the handmaid's tail you're I feel like you're gonna like the show because I actually like it it goes way more I feel like they had way more creative freedom in this so I feel that they give you more of off-red and more of her life more of her husband more about her daughter more about just the lives of all those who were caught up during this time of gilead and wanting to change the world because no one can have kids it was it's a sad time but just the drastic measures they have taken to do this I mean part of me goes why not just try IVF why not just you know do IVF and just do it that way no they want to do it the old school way fine creepy gross and in the book trust I believe that's in there so that's why I'm telling you're gonna like it watch it and seriously you're gonna like it I'm actually trying to finish season one and it is just it's just going swimmingly I'm loving it so far especially me I read the book I can appreciate it more that they try their best to go with the book but also use their creative license to extend a little bit further so that when you watch it you have a little bit more understanding of why things happened what happened they get a little bit more in depth especially for you guys if you haven't read the book it's fine if you don't read the book you still don't like the show anyway so I hope each and every one of you have a good night a good morning a good day wherever whenever however you're listening to this now I can still say hey it is to add as we walk as we walk as we podcast and please feel free to email me at aswewalkpod at gmail.com see you later guys
