If you want to improve your voice, you have to focus on the basics, not on impressing others or copying other artists. You have to spend focus on how to improve your singing and not try to be like anyone else. You've got to remove your style and learn how to crawl, stand upright then finally to walk. In other words, you have to do the basics before you can begin to insert your own style.
