Let's Get Right About Righteousness

from I AM PASTOR DEB · host Pastor DEb

We Want To Hear From YOU!“Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.20 “But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!I have just read to you Matthew 5:17-20The goal is to live a life of righteousness and purpose so that you can experience the  Kingdom of Heaven.  Scripture is clear: religiosity is not the answer; submission to the King is the only way to assure that your name is magnified in the KIngdom of Heaven. It is very easy for us  to get caught up in the ways of the world, and to base our righteousness on how we feel, what we understand, and what we desire, but sincere righteousness that is acceptable in the eyes of God is only established and maintained when we submit with complete understand that the King of Kings has set the standard of righteousness, and has outlined his law which is not up for negotiation. Many want to define their righteousness  by their church attendance, religious engagement of activities, or their commitment to charitable projects.  These works, although commendable, they alone do not define righteousness. Our works should stem first from a heart and mindset that is committed and submitted to the righteousness of God, Verse 5 of Mathew 5 tells us that God blesses or is pleased with those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, so you see righteousness is first an inner work. Support the showwww.BibleDeliverance.org
