Let's Live What We Believe!
from The Micah Young Podcast Hosted by Micah Young
Well, it’s been a while! After a hip replacement and a few complications, I’m on the mend and glad to be back doing what I enjoy. In Western Christianity, we’re prone to take what we hear or read about grace and file it away in our doctrinal box. We agree with it, but we never really ask what difference it makes in our daily lives. In this episode, I start with 2 Corinthians 9:8 and share why grace is so much more than a doctrinal position. It’s the resource God has provided for us to live as an expression of Himself. I want to share two of the most basic expressions of grace the Father has extended to us in abundance, and what it looks like to live from them: 1. Forgiveness. Scripture says He has already forgiven us all our transgressions. So the next time you’re prompted to ask God to forgive you, don’t. Thank Him for forgiving you instead. 2. His Presence. Jesus said He would be with us forever. Not until we sin too many times. Not until we miss church. Forever. So the next time you’re prompted to beg Him to show up, don’t. Welcome Him instead.
