Let's Tak About... Faith (Luke 17:5-6)

What is the essence of the Christian life? Reading the Bible? Attending church? Service? While most people would answer something like this, it's none of the above. What is the necessary ingredient for a mature church? Attendance? Small group participation? Offering totals? Quality music & preaching in worship? Actually, it has nothing to do with any of these. The one necessary ingredient in our personal life and church is faith. The root of everything in our life, all our behavior….. is our love for & confidence in God. Do we believe God exists and rewards those who seek Him? Or, do we believe (or act) as if He doesn't and do things our own way in our own power? The Christian life is not one of trying but one of believing. If we know God and know ourselves, faith will be the instinct of your heart.... yet ultimately a gift of God.
