Summary

One of the greatest struggles we face in life is pride. It is subtle. How easily grace gifts can become ground for boasting! It takes many forms; self-centeredness is the root of both arrogance and self-pity. It is a great obstacle to faith. At its core – when it is truly exposed – it is unbelief. It is sinful. It is dangerous & deadly. As Proverbs says, “pride goes before the fall.” We must fight against pride. We must desire & live in humility. How are we to do this? Jesus speaks to us today from Luke 17:7-10, teaching us on humility & offering us grace and help in our time of need. Knowing God and knowing ourselves puts everything perspective. Only in worship can we find freedom from self & fullness of God that we so desperately desire & need. Excited to "talk about life" again together today.
