Let’s Talk About… | Science, Part 2 By Nick Quigley Original Air Date: 2019.01.013 Talking… the art of conversation and the ability to discuss tough subjects is becoming increasingly harder to do these days. The advent of technology and social media has given us the ability to find information in less than 3 seconds – although not always accurate or true! It has also given us the ability to talk to people without being with them and get a response without waiting. In Jesus’ time, the art of communication came through the spoken word only– repeating historical accounts throughout the generations to preserve family history, faith, traditions and to remind people of God’s ways and how He moved in their lives. Now we have record of those conversations through the Bible – a document of God’s love for us, how He brought that love to us through Jesus Christ and how to handle the issues of life. In light of the advances we’ve made in the world, there is a deep desire to reconnect in communication. People seek transparency and authenticity – especially from the church! People want to be able to talk about the really hard subjects that some may even call taboo. So, we invite you to the “Let’s Talk About” series where we will tackle some really hard topics.  We will look at what God has to say about trust issues, hate and tolerance, sex, and science.
