Let's Talk about Sex

Sex has been turned into an act. Something to “do,” a way to “get off,” or have your “needs met.” Many women have sex out of obligation or duty. It has, sadly, become a transactional experience rather than what the ancients called “holy communion.”Why? Because between 5,000 and 3,000 years ago, there was a shift in the collective belief system. The soul was no longer recognized in the body. Life, and therefore the earth, was no longer recognized as sacred. The divine was found “only up above, in the sky.” Since women represented the earth, they too were deemed inferior. Women were deemed possessions devoid of soul. Only men were made in the image of (the very new male) sky god.Prior to this belief system, women were revered and worshipped as holy. Yet, denial of the soul made sex a sin - something that took us away from the divine rather than toward it. It begins by recognizing your own soul in your body. As you come into touch with your soul - your truest essence - you begin to release all that is not yours. Your ecstatic life force energy, which is your sexual energy, begins to activate. It belongs to you and you only. It is your creativity, your pleasure, your desire, your connection with yourself, your sensuality.
