What this episode covers
Following up on Zu's video "I'm Done with AYANEO - Here's Why", in this stream, Stubbs, Rob the Retro Tech Dad, and Ban play some games on their Pocket Air Mini while discussing the ongoing struggle with AYANEO getting their indiegogo campaign pledges into backer's hands timely, and discuss alternate options of where you can reliably find their budget handheld, the Pocket Air Mini. We have enjoyed a number of AYANEO's handhelds, but we have decided not to accept review units from them or release further reviews on our channel on their products until things change for customers. So many of us are fed up with the long delays, blame shifting, and the same treatment time and again, instead opting for buying from a trusted seller like AKNES, with a history of treating their customers (from all regions) with respect, not up-charging a fortune, and with zero shipping delays. This is not a hit piece, and it’s not about hating AYANEO hardware. It’s about accountability, transparency, and protecting consumers in the retro handheld space. For now, it appears we are pouring one out. Let's see what 2026 brings, and if they can right this ship for more than just the domestic market.
