About Cindy McCormick:  Cindy McCormick is an accomplished educator, leader, and college counselor. She received her B.A., teaching credential, and Masters in Education from UCLA; instructional writing certification from UC Santa Barbara; and college counseling certification from UC San Diego. As a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), she is a professional with the highest standards in education, training, and ethics. She has taught school in both Westchester County, NY and Southern California, and specialized as a college application and essay writing instructor. She also served as a PTA President and longtime competitive global STEM organization team manager. With over 25 years experience, Cindy knows what it takes to help students open doors to their dream colleges. As a mother of five children, Gifted And Talented educator, autism specialist, and Spanish bilingual instructor, Cindy understands a variety of perspectives and backgrounds. Her experience working with different personalities, abilities, and needs enables her to bond with teenagers and customize their unique college plan. In her downtime, Cindy enjoys her family, running group, book club, prayer group, cooking, and cuddling her goldendoodle, Ollie.
