On this episode, we are joined by Paula Magee, MD, MPH, a pediatrician and now pediatric ICU fellow in Chicago, IL. Dr. Magee is originally from North Carolina, completed her bachelors degree at Winston Salem University before moving to Atlanta for medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Children’s National in Washington, DC then matriculated to the Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy in Boston. She is committed to serving the clinically underserved, mentoring students interested in medicine and consulting with health systems to improve community resources and integration. She speaks to us today about her journey to pediatrics and critical care, and the importance of caring for the most vulnerable populations.
