Let's Watch! Mutant (1984)

Acomi and Turk182 take off their sh!t-kicking boots, put their feet up and watch Mutant (1984). Starring Bo Hopkins and Wings Hauser (who looks like a poor man's John C McGinley), as two men who find themselves, for completely different reasons, trapped in a small backwoods town whose residents are turning into zombie-like creatures. With nowhere to run and no one to turn to, they have to solve the mystery and stop the creatures themselves; or become their latest victims. With a plot very, very reminiscent of The Children (1980), down to an almost identical ending, but with a $10.00 bigger budget and known actors. It has almost all the tropes of a bad 80s horror movie. Unlikeable main characters, evil corporations, people refusing to help or ignoring the truth, horrible people who aren't the bad guys, unnecessary deaths, characters falling in love overnight, impractical events, and an overly convoluted simple plot. Even the title, which should be "Mutated" instead of "Mutant". Join Acomi and Turk182 as they barricade themselves in front of the television and watch Mutant (1984). Thankfully, they only have to watch it once. Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience.
