Let's Watch! She (1984)

from Our Moms Think We're Funny · host Korova Entertainment

Acomi and Turk182 take a trip into the not too distant future, possibly the past - days of future past, post-apocalyptic world wear people revert back to trade, bartering, and farming. A place where people wear random ugly, suits and sports equipment to raid villages. A time wear plundering and sexual assault on women is expected. Where random people possess telekinesis, and Robin Williams impersonators have remarkable regenerative abilities. A world where the only person that can save us all is She (1984). Loosely (very, very loosely) adapted from R. Rider Haggad's novel of the same name, She tells the story of a warrior queen who accompanies two brothers (just, just two brothers) on a quest to rescue their sister from the savage, plundering, ravaging ruler of a fortress not far from her own. Along the way, they encounter, a commune of werewolves, a mad scientist, a psychotic telekinetic being, and an annoying, and poorly done, Robin Williams imitator that won't die, and duplicates from severed limbs. All in a day's work for She (1984). R. Rider Haggard's novel, She: A History of Adventure, was written in 1887 and doesn't have anything to do with a post-apocalyptic future, or any of the other insanity that plagues this movie. Or, that makes the movie better than the book. Join Acomi and Turk as they struggle to make sense of this bizarre and impossible future world. A world that can only be protected by a pronoun. She! Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience. So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so. Note: This video is the commentary recorded by Acomi and Turk182. The commentary can be enjoyed on its own, but if you want to experience the Let's Watch! in all its glory, you'll need your own copy of the movie. Most of the movies viewed can be streamed online for free. #OMTWF #KorovaEntertainment #LetsWatch #LW #Acomi #Turk182 #awfulsome #She #Shemovie #She1984 #HRiderHaggard #Shenovel #SheAHistoryofAdventure #SandahlBergman Follow Acomi on Twitter at @AcomiDraws and on Instagram at AcomiDraws.
