Letter to Pergamum - Beware Compromises

Christianity is a miracle! When you dig deep into the backdrop of the cultures where Christianity was introduced, you see everything against it! The existing spiritual practices, the pagan religions, the state, the economy and even the Jews!  Pergamum is no exception. Once you see who they are and what they had to deal with, you can understand why Christ had to rebuke them for compromising on their faith.  And lest we think it was an issue for those way back then that we don't have to think about, THINK AGAIN.  You may see elements of compromise in your own church that Jesus talks about here.
