I personally had never read it before and was a bit turned off by preconceived notions. However, I have to say, so far I’ve really enjoyed it!  The book was written by Mary Shelley when she was only 18 years old! It was published when she was 20 in 1818. The story actually came out of a competition between Mary, Percy Shelley, Lord Byron and John Polidori on who could write the best book! The story has some deep undertones about morality which make it an interesting perspective when you view it as more than a story. Thanks as always for listening to and sharing the podcast!
