Letters From ChristBible Reading: 2 Corinthians 3:1-17 Summary: Paul explains in 2 Corinthians 3 that the OldCovenant or Law could not save us. The law, which wasengraved in letters on stone, came in all glory to Moses.Moses and the false teachers of Judea used Mosesconstantly in their argument; his face was shining when hesaw the glory of God on Mount Horeb. But later on, he hadto wear a veil to cover his face to prevent the people ofIsrael from seeing that this radiance was fading, because ofhis sinfulness. Moses was not the Messiah! This ministry ofthe Law led to man’s death through their disobedience andimperfection to keep the law. Paul, himself, is nothing, buthe is everything in Christ who strengthens him. Does he, Paul,therefore, need a letter of recommendation to commendhim? No, the church is his letter of recommendation,written on our hearts, for all to read and understand.
