Letters In The Sand

Sunday, March 13, 2016.  Speaker: Pastor Greg Canada "Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery."  John 8:3 The woman, cowering down in fear and shame, waiting for a riotous mob to begin throwing stones at her.  Do you at times feel like the woman - paralyzed by fear and shame, waiting for your personal judgment?  Are you more like the mob, who regardless of their own sin, were incensed with the need to seek justice against this woman?  Jesus showed us another way.  He knelt down next to the woman and wrote in the sand, casting his lot with her, and after He speaks, the crowd drops their stones and leaves.  This is a picture of the Grace of God, and a model for how we should love others.
