Reflection on Faith and God’s Work Expressing gratitude for the work of God and its help during sad times. Referencing Psalms 119, verse 121, and Psalm 46:1 about God helping in times of trouble. “I’m thankful tonight that we have the work of God to help us.” The devil’s influence and the need to listen to God. The devil is described as being like a “rolling line.” Emphasizing the importance of listening to God over the devil, who can “beat you down” and “wreck your life.” The fleeting nature of life and the importance of obeying God. Life is described as “even a vapor” that appears for a short time and then vanishes. Expressing gratitude for obeying God and having God live within one’s heart. “I’m so glad tonight. I obeyed God. I’m glad God lives within my heart.” The importance of going to the house of God and loving God. Acknowledging that people may have money and wealth but still need God. Referencing Luke 21, verse 26, and the need to wake up and ensure hearts are right with God. God’s continued work in families and the need for the Lord to work in people’s lives. Expressing gratitude for God working in families and giving life with God. Highlighting the danger of falling into the hands of God and the consequences of rebelling against Him. “It’s a dangerous thing to fall into the hands of God.” The state of homes and the need for God in churches. Lamenting the broken state of homes and the lack of time people have for God. Expressing a desire for people to return to church and for God to work in churches. “We need to let God work in our churches.” The importance of old-fashioned worship and not compromising on the Word of God. Expressing a belief in the “old timey way” and the need for people to praise God without shame. Criticizing compromise in the world and the need to study the Bible and know what the Lord said. “We don’t need to compromise. That’s what’s wrong with the Word today.” Trusting in God during storms and being ready to go home to Him. Recounting a personal experience of seeking God’s protection during a storm. Expressing readiness to go home to God and acknowledging the worth of being saved. The love of God and the blessings He provides. Expressing gratitude for the many blessings and the love of God. Highlighting God’s guidance, help, and forgiveness of sins. “The love of God. Oh, what it is. We can’t imagine how much God loves us.” The need to let God work in hearts and not hinder His blessings. Encouraging listeners to let God work in their hearts and lives. Warning against actions that could knock one out of the nation, blind, or hinder them. “It’s time to let God work in our hearts a lot of times. We all get it.” Feeling of inadequacy and reliance on God’s purpose. Sharing a feeling that their ministry might be over and apologizing to God. Acknowledging the devil’s work and the need for the Lord. “I said God I feel like my ministry is over with You see how the devil works me.” Recognizing dependence on God and His saving grace. Acknowledging inability to save anyone and expressing gratitude for God’s continued presence. Emphasizing the importance of letting God work in one’s heart and life. “We’d be lost without God. We’d be all sinners in the hell. But thank God, God still stands on us.”
