Letting People Be Flawed, And Still Valuable | Healing Valuable Relationships

from Naked And Noisy: Manifestation Tools For The Professional Woman · host Nathallie Hughes | Life & Mindset Coach

Forgiveness, can you imagine? Choosing to be open-hearted, and repair relationships with people who are flawed... can you imagine?  I know that relationships with family can be... complicated. And also, death is... permanent. I've been feeling the loss of my father a lot, lately. And his passing has put my relationship with the other members of my family into perspective. What stories about my family history do they have? What characteristics did they inherit from the ancestors that came before us? How can I honor my ancestry by honoring those who are still alive? My recent reflection has led me to understand this: We all come from complex histories of trauma and enslavement and oppression and societal conditioning which, combined, can encourage us to be... inhibited and closed off and controlling and even sometimes inconsiderate of others' feelings. And even though this is true... and we are flawed... we're still valuable. We still have things to teach and learn from and give to one another. So, in this Season 3, Episode 33... we're talking about forgiveness.  Enjoy.
