Levente Trellay, Telep, episode 6

from Budapest: The Podcast

He is co-owner of the Budapest bar and gallery that is there and not there at the same time. It might not have an easily recognizable street address or sign, but Telep is nonetheless a well-known gathering place for its own extended family of music, party, art, and fashion appreciators. Levente helped initiate the space some 4 years ago by contributing custom-built furniture. Soon afterward it changed locations and became the niche mainstay it is now. Up in the crisp and clean air of his Buda residence, Levente and I chatted about his youth spent in southern Germany, life as a working biologist in Austria, the “coupling” spirit of Telep, and the project to assemble Eastern European artistic talent in a Budapest expo, among many other things.
