LEVERAGE the Planet!

Bobby was a State Wrestling Champ, and Deborah was his friend. After the water balloon fight in the hot park he said, “Hey Deb why don’t you show me some of that Jiujitsu stuff? Deborah was 110 lb. dripping wet and declined. At that, all of their friends started egging her on, but to no avail. All at once Bobby tackled her playfully in a very over exaggerated, theatrical motion. What happened next surprised the little cheering crowd of onlookers. To be fair Bobby’s tackle was gentle, however Deborah’s response wasn’t. On her back was a familiar place to be in this situation, and as Bobby landed, she wrapped her legs around his waist to stop his advance, and then around his arm, LEVERAGING her strongest assist, her lower body strength, against the ground. Deborah then LEVERAGED the planet by pushing up, engaging her hips, and straining her attacker’s elbow joint. Within 5 seconds Bobby was tapping, “Okay, you got me, ouch…” Deborah playfully let go, and pushed him off with her legs, and laughed. As Bobby lay back, in the wet grass, he began rubbing his elbow. Standing, and brushing the grass from her jeans Deborah had a smile that said it all, “Don’t mess with me.” The LEVERAGE we use in self-defense is powerful and life saving. In Deborah’s case her LEVERAGE was literally the planet. Our lives are the same. When we are on our backs, in the fight for our lives, in relationship conflict, business conflict, or even conflict with a teen gone suddenly off track, we have LEVERAGE all around us that we can use to save life. That life saved might be ours, our business, or our precious child’s. LEVERAGE is how we accomplish greater things than we can ever imagine. LEVERAGE powerfully, and save life!
