Levitical Priesthood Pt 3 ~ The Role and Duties of the Levitical Priests

In this teaching segment, we examine the role and duties of the Levitical Priests. The Levites were the ministers of the tabernacle, with its duties and services as it is written in Numbers 3:5-7: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him. And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. Levitical Priests also carried the ark of the covenant. The Levites were divided into courses. Israel was divided into 24 districts. Priests from each of the 24 districts served one week in the Temple twice a year. The Levitical Priests were teachers of the Torah and they were worship leaders.
